1. General

These Terms of Service apply when you create an account, use pagebase.ai, the PageBase web app, or the PageBase iOS app (together, the “Service”).

The Service is provided by PageBase AB, company registration number 559584-8556, Kullbäcksvägen 3, 824 31 Hudiksvall (“we”, “us”, or “PageBase”). PageBase AB is the seller and provides payment for the Service. Stripe and Apple are payment service providers.

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy is available at pagebase.ai/privacy/.

2. The service

PageBase is a service for creating, editing, publishing and managing websites in the browser. The Service may also include purchase and management of domain names, mailboxes and related add-ons.

New websites have a trial period of 5 days. After that a paid subscription is required to keep using the website.

We may change, extend or remove features as needed for operations, security or product development. Material changes that affect paid subscriptions will be announced with reasonable notice where possible.

3. Account

You are responsible for providing accurate information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You may sign in with email, Google, or Sign in with Apple where offered.

The account is personal or tied to the organisation you represent. If you create an account for a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company to these terms.

You are responsible for activity on your account, except where we reasonably should have prevented it.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Payment for the Service is provided by PageBase AB. Web purchases are charged via Stripe for PageBase AB. Purchases in the iOS app are charged via the Apple App Store, still as purchases of PageBase AB’s services. Card and payment details are not stored by PageBase.

Subscriptions are billed monthly until cancelled. Current prices (incl. 25 % VAT for consumers in Sweden, unless checkout shows otherwise):

  • Website — 99 SEK/month per website, auto-renewed each month. Trial 5 days.
  • Mailbox — 50 SEK/month per address, auto-renewed each month. In the App Store also as packs: 1 mailbox 50 SEK/month, 3 mailboxes 150 SEK/month, 5 mailboxes 250 SEK/month.
  • Domain name — from 300 SEK depending on TLD, one-time fee at registration/renewal. The applicable price is shown at purchase.

The final price, currency and tax for App Store purchases are shown by Apple at checkout.

The subscription renews automatically for the same period until cancelled. For web purchases you can cancel in account settings at app.pagebase.ai. Cancellation stops future charges. No refund is given for a period already started, unless mandatory law or a separate agreement requires otherwise.

We may change prices. A change applies from the next renewal. Material price increases will be announced in advance so you can cancel before the new period starts.

Failed payment may result in paid features, publishing or the website being limited or suspended until payment is settled.

5. Apple App Store purchases

If you purchase a subscription in the PageBase iOS app, the purchase is an auto-renewable App Store subscription. The following then applies, in line with Apple’s rules:

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the cost of the selected subscription.
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings after purchase: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or App Store → Account → Subscriptions).
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by PageBase. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Which products are sold in the App Store may vary. The website subscription length is one month and the price is 99 SEK/month. Product name, duration and price are shown in the app and in the App Store before purchase. If the same service is also sold on the web, those are separate billing paths: an Apple subscription is cancelled with Apple; a Stripe subscription is cancelled in PageBase.

Apple is not responsible for the Service beyond what follows from the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement and App Store rules.

6. Domain names and email

Domain names and mailboxes may be purchased as add-ons. Domain registration is made through our registrar partner. The price starts at 300 SEK depending on TLD and is shown at purchase. Once a domain is registered with the relevant registry, the purchase generally cannot be withdrawn or refunded.

You are responsible for accurate registrant data and for renewing the domain on time. Failure to renew may cause the name to expire.

Mailboxes cost 50 SEK/month per address and require an active domain. Abuse, spam or unlawful use may result in mailboxes being closed.

7. Your content

You retain the rights to content you upload (text, images, files and similar). You grant us a limited right to store, display and process that content as needed to provide the Service, including backups, publishing and any AI-assisted features you choose to use.

You are responsible for having the right to use the content and for ensuring it does not violate law or third-party rights.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service for unlawful activity, malware, spam, misleading content, infringement of others’ rights, or to disrupt the Service. We may suspend an account or website in case of a breach, after review and in proportion to the breach.

9. Withdrawal and refunds

Consumers in the EU/EEA may have a 14-day right of withdrawal under distance-selling rules. For digital services that begin during the withdrawal period with your express consent, the right of withdrawal may be lost once the Service has started being provided.

For subscriptions purchased through Apple, Apple’s refund rules apply. For web purchases, the main rule is that no refund is given for a period already used or started, beyond mandatory consumer law.

Domain registrations are not refunded once registration with the registry is complete.

10. Availability and liability

We aim for a stable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, supplier faults or circumstances beyond our control may affect the Service.

The Service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by mandatory law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, data loss or consequential damage. Our aggregate liability to a paying customer is limited to the fees that customer paid for the Service during the twelve months before the claim.

This limitation does not apply in case of intent, gross negligence, or where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

11. Termination

You may cancel your account or subscription at any time as described above. We may terminate or limit the Service in case of material breach, non-payment, abuse, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue the Service we will give reasonable notice where possible.

After termination, the website, content and email may become unavailable. You are responsible for exporting content in time if you need a copy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is published on this page with a date. Material changes will be announced in the Service or by email where reasonable. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

Swedish law applies. Disputes are settled by Swedish general courts. Consumers may also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) and the EU online dispute resolution platform where applicable. Mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence is not affected.

The Swedish version of these terms prevails if this translation differs.
